CORVALLIS, Ore. (NWNN) – Linn County deputies are investigating after they responded to a car into an apartment complex east of Corvallis.
The initial investigation shows that a van drove around to the back of the complex onto the lawn. Deputies say that the driver then intentionally drove into an apartment wall causing extensive damage.
Officials say the driver left the scene, but fortunately no one was hurt.
During the course of the investigation deputies say the operator, 35-year-old Steven Pugh, drove the van back to the apartment complex and crashed into it. Pugh refused to stop for the deputies.
The Albany Police Department got involved and ended up using spikes once Pugh reached Albany.
Pugh lost control of his van and was eventually taken into custody. He is charged with multiple counts including attempting to elude police.
