Fatal crash between BNSF train and passenger car in Clark County

VANCOUVER Wash. (NWNN) – A man is dead after his convertible was hit by a passing BNSF train near the 17300 block of Evergreen Blvd.

Crews from Vancouver Fire, Camas Fire, BNSF Police, and American Medical Response all provided assistance, but the single occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the scene.

It took nearly 3 hours to remove the victim from the vehicle which had been pushed 15 train car lengths down the track and partially over an embankment.
