Newly opened Sheriff’s office extends service in Bethany


WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. (NWNN) – A new 3,000 square foot Sheriff’s Office has begun operating in the Bethany area.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Bethany Station, is located at 4876 NW Bethany Blvd., Ste. L-5, and will serve the communities north of Highway 26.

Around 20 officers will be based out of the new station and it will provide employment fingerprinting, records release, and have a prescription drug turn-in box.

Since opening in Bethany 15 years ago, the Sheriff’s Office has grown to average 23,148 calls for service annually.

Sheriff Pat Garrett states, “We are eager to open our doors and continue to build new and strengthen existing relationships with our residents in the northeast part of Washington County. This new location will allow us to better understand the needs of our growing communities that we honored to protect and serve.”
